Maybridge is just one part of the wider church family in Worthing. By the way Worthing is blessed with many great churches, click here to find out more about churches in Worthing.
However if you want to know more about us, then here’s a few highlights:
We want to demonstrate God’s love and see ourselves and our community transformed.
We are engaged in various community activities, working with the very young to the very old.
There are around 500 people who call Maybridge Community Church their home.
There are lots of opportunities to get involved!
We meet in three services each Sunday. These services are at 8.30am for Breakfast Church - at the church building, 77 The Strand - informal chat, discussion and worship (usually without singing) and a breakfast! Then we meet at 10.30am at Chatsmore High School - sung worship and preaching, including kids work up to age 14. Then we return to our church building at 77 The Strand for our evening service called The Six which meets at 6.00pm for a relaxed time of chat, worship and learning.
We also meet in small groups known as Partnership Groups in people’s homes during the week. For Seniors we have events such as Ladies Fellowship, Mind Body Soul lunches and a fantastic annual event called Holiday at Home.
Our concern is for our local community and we run a low cost high quality Community Cafe, a Parish Nurse along with a team of volunteers offering spiritual as well as physical, emotional and social care and we run a term time weekly parent and toddlers group called Take a Break. We also are home to the Maybridge Children and Family Centre which uses our site every weekday throughout the year for a whole host of fun and helpful activities for families with children. Contact them direct on 01903 276890 for more details. Maybridge Community Church also supports other good causes and Christian organisations that work in Worthing too.
We also support a range of humanitarian relief agencies and mission agencies around the world. Find out more on our Global Community page.
There are opportunities to volunteer and give as well.
Why not contact us or come along to one of our services or events to find out more. You will be very welcome!
